i noticed this cool design element on a building's door

i love how people used to devote so much attention to the small details

now, they seem to put up a new building in a day.

Manhattanʻs Upper West Side

And I was delighted to see all of the cool

architectural details

that adorn the buildings and staircases.

American gothic, for sure!
